Helping MLB say goodbye to a legend
During the second half of the 2023 MLB season, I was tasked with helping create a multi-month content plan across all social platforms to help the league say goodbye to all-time legend Miguel Cabrera. The plan was executed on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. It included collaboration with our design, PR, and content teams.
#MonthOfMiggy on MLB Vault
As part of the plan, we leveraged our MLB Vault boutique account to showcase some of his best/most fun moments throughout the entire month. We tied it all together with the hashtag #MonthofMiggy, and coordinated collaborations with several of our other MLB accounts including atMLB, Cut4, World Baseball Classic, and Tigers.
The Final Week
After utilizing MLB Vault to showcase Miggy’s greatest moments throughout the month, we turned our focus to the main MLB account for the final week.
Miggy’s Last Game
Finally, the campaign culminated on the day of Miguel Cabrera’s last game in Major League Baseball.
